After I had my first child, I hit the gym everyday for an hour on the elliptical and circuit training and even trained for a half marathon but kept hitting plateaus. I took some time off and tried P90X and became pregnant with my daughter. After watching my husband drop weight from working out at CrossFit Texas, I decided to give it a try thinking it would help me lose the baby weight. Instantly, I was hooked. I loved the fact that I didn’t have to worry about what workout to do for the day. The WOD is already set and it’s always different. It wasn’t hard for me to stray from the boring “gym routine.”
Since September of 2010, I have dropped 40 pounds and 10% body fat and am down to a size 2. I consistently follow the Paleo nutrition plan cutting out breads, dairy, and anything processed. I have completed the 24 Day Challenge from Advocare dropping 6 pounds, 5 inches and 2% body fat on my first challenge and lost 1.5 pounds and 1.5% body fat on my second challenge. I use Spark, Catalyst, and Thermoplus on a daily basis. I can feel myself getting stronger everyday, plus I feel great and have tons of energy to play with my kids. I have yet to hit a plateau!
